Our Mission: Breaking the Orphan Cycle Through the Dignity of Work

At SoccerHeroStore, we believe meaningful work can change the trajectory of a life — and a generation. Our sister organization in Haiti, LIFE S.A. (LIFE), serves as our apparel maker and is committed to meeting the Fair Labor Association (FLA) Code of Conduct. But our vision reaches further: we aim to transform the entire SoccerHeroStore enterprise — including LIFE — into a force for lasting good for workers, children, and their communities.

Our Objectives

Lead the market in wages in Haiti for essential apparel manufacturing — recognizing workers’ value and rewarding their contribution with industry-leading pay.

Set the standard for transparency, welcoming customers, partners, and visitors to see how we work — the processes, safeguards, and values behind every garment.

Give generously, dedicating profits to support orphaned and vulnerable children — because business should uplift those most in need.

REQUIRED CODE OF CONDUCT STANDARDS (Aligned with FLA)

  1. Employment Relationship
LIFE shall adopt and maintain rules and conditions of employment that respect workers and, at minimum, protect their rights under national and international labor and social security laws and regulations.
  2. Nondiscrimination
No worker shall face discrimination in hiring, pay, advancement, discipline, termination, or retirement based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group, or ethnic origin.
  3. Harassment or Abuse
Every employee must be treated with dignity and respect. Physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment and abuse are strictly prohibited.
  4. Forced Labor
Forced labor of any kind — including prison, indentured, bonded, or coerced labor — is strictly prohibited.
  5. Child Labor
No person under the age of 16, or below the compulsory education completion age (whichever is higher), may be employed. Employees under 18 must not work at night or with hazardous materials. LIFE complies with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and all local child labor laws, including protections for workers under 18 regarding health, livelihood, and wellbeing.
  6. Freedom of Association & Collective Bargaining
LIFE recognizes and respects employees’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining.
  7. Health, Safety & Environment
LIFE provides a safe, healthy workplace and takes responsible measures to prevent accidents and health risks related to work or facility operations. LIFE undertakes reasonable steps to mitigate environmental impacts from the workplace.
  8. Hours of Work
LIFE shall comply with Haitian law on regular and overtime hours. The standard workweek shall not exceed 48 hours, with at least 24 consecutive hours of rest every seven days. Overtime must be voluntary, not routine, and compensated at a premium rate. Except in extraordinary circumstances, total weekly hours (regular + overtime) shall not exceed 60 hours.
  9. A Healthy and Safe Workplace
The contractor (LIFE) provides a safe, hygienic, and healthy environment and maintains systems to detect, avoid, and respond to risks to employees’ safety and health arising in the course of work or from facility operations.
  10. Compensation
Every worker has a right to compensation that covers a regular workweek and allows for discretionary income. LIFE’s pay shall exceed the legal minimum and the appropriate prevailing wage, whichever is higher, and include a structure for meaningful progression above these minimums. LIFE complies with all wage laws and provides legally required benefits.
